Creating Your Profile
- Click on View Profile (top right of the page).
- Select Create an Account and complete the login details.
- Accept the Terms of Use and click on the Create Account button.
- Expand the My Documents section and upload your resume (and optional cover letter).
- Expand the Profile Information section and enter your contact information..
- When finished, click Save at the bottom of the page.
Note: Upon uploading a candidate profile resume, data will be used from it to populate the Experience, Education, Languages, Skills, and Driver Licences sections of your Candidate Profile. Double-check these sections for completeness and accuracy.
Updating Your Profile
- Click on View Profile to sign into your Candidate Profile if not logged in.
- Expand profile sections as needed to update your personal information and/or resume.
- When finished, click Save at the bottom of the page.
Changing or Resetting Your Password
To change your (known) password:
- Click on View Profile to sign into your Candidate Profile.
- Click on Options and select Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Enter your new password and select Change Password at the bottom left.
To reset your (forgotten) password:
- Go to eos.toronto.ca and click on View Profile (top right of the page).
- Click on Forgot Your Password and enter your email address.
- Check your email for further instructions to reset your password.
Deleting Your Profile
- Click on View Profile to sign into your Candidate Profile.
- Click on Options and select Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Click on Delete Profile (bottom right of the page).
Searching for Jobs
- Select either the Jobs in the Community tab or the Jobs for People Receiving Social Assistance tab (top of page).
- Select Search All Jobs.
- You can use the Search by Keyword feature to search within the title and description of a job posting.
Note: You do not need to be logged in to search / view job postings.
Applying to Jobs
- Click Apply Now while viewing a job you would like to apply to, and you will be prompted to sign in.
- Sign in and update your resume / cover letter, checking all profile sections for completeness and accuracy.
- When you are ready to apply, click Apply (bottom right of page)
Using Different Resumes / Cover Letters for Jobs
You can have a tailored resume and/or cover letter for different job applications:
- Before clicking Apply to apply to a specific job, you can first upload a tailored resume and/or cover letter for that position.
- Jobs you have already applied to will not be impacted.
Viewing Your Application Status
- Click on View Profile to sign into your Candidate Profile.
- Expand the Jobs Applied section. All positions you have applied to will be displayed, as well as the status of each job.
Viewing Your Application After Submission
- Click on View Profile to sign into your Candidate Profile.
- Expand the Jobs Applied section.
- Navigate to the application and click on the job title.
- Expand all sections to view your application.
Editing Your Application
- Click on View Profile to sign into your Candidate Profile.
- Expand the Jobs Applied section.
- Navigate to the application you want to update.
- When done making changes, click Save.
Note: Applications can only be updated if they are in initial screen status. If you have questions or concerns about an application, please contact TESSpartnerships@toronto.ca.
Withdrawing Your Application
- Click on View Profile to sign into your Candidate Profile.
- Expand the Jobs Applied section.
- Navigate to the application and you wish to update.
- Click the Withdraw Application button (bottom right).
Note: Applications can only be withdrawn if the job is still open on the job board.
Setting up job alerts
- Click on View Profile to sign into your Candidate Profile.
- Click on Options and select Job Alerts from the drop-down menu.
- Click the Create New Job Alert button.
- Enter the keyword(s) for your alert in the Search by Keyword field – e.g. 'finance,' 'part time'.
- Select Preview Alert. This will allow you to preview the alert to view the types of jobs you will be notified about.
Note: If no results appear, it may be because no current jobs match your keyword(s). - Enter how often you want to be alerted (e.g. number of days).
- Select the Create Alert button. You will receive an email when a new job matching your keyword is posted.
Deleting Job Alerts
- Click on View Profile to sign into your Candidate Profile.
- Select Options and then select Job Alerts from the drop-down menu.
- Select the job alert you want to delete.
- Click on the trash can icon under the Actions column.
