Investing In Neighbourhoods - Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for job opportunities through the Investing in Neighbourhoods Program, interested candidates must be OW participants living in Toronto. Investing in Neighbourhoods job opportunities are in not for profit community organizations and enable OW participants to: increase their skill level, develop contacts with employers, and obtain references with the goal of securing permanent employment.


At the time of this posting, the position is remote.  The employer may change this arrangement in order to comply with Public Health Guidelines.

Job Description:

  • Handle incoming calls
  • Review files and records to answer requests for information
  • Check and distribute documents and correspondence
  • Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail
  • Maintain Filing system
  • Compile records of office activities
  • Photocopy, scan and fax, send emails
  • Prepare and send outgoing mail and packages
  • Type documents and correspondence
  • Check and enter data
  • Update and maintain databases
  • Coordinate work flow-
  • Control basic accounting functions such as checking invoices
  • Keep office area neat and tidy
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned


Skills Requirements:

  • Ability to operate Windows, Excel, Access, Internet.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Good organizational and planning
  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Customer service orientation
  • Communication skills - verbal and written
  • Team player
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information
