Investing In Neighbourhoods - Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for job opportunities through the Investing in Neighbourhoods Program, interested candidates must be OW participants living in Toronto. Investing in Neighbourhoods job opportunities are in not for profit community organizations and enable OW participants to: increase their skill level, develop contacts with employers, and obtain references with the goal of securing permanent employment.


Job Description:

  • Promote Agency through the use of digital and social media strategies and technologies
  • Follow and implement social media strategy created by Digital Media Specialist
  • Create, edit, and share daily content on Agency Social Media Platforms (posts, images, videos, etc) that builds connections and communicates the Agency Story
  • Community Management: maintain company profiles within each platforms to increase the visibility of Agency's social content and engage with fans/followers
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
  • Collaborate with Agency supervisors and the Digital Media Specialist to promote reputation and coordinate actions


Skills Requirements:

  • Previous experience using social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc)
  • Competent with Photoshop and/or has the ability or motivation to create content by learning to use Photoshop
  • Experience using social media platforms for social networking and community engagement
  • Writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
  • Positive attitude, attention to detail and customer-oriented with good multi-tasking and organizational ability
  • Fluency in English
  • Competency in Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe After Effects is an asset but not a requirement
