Investing In Neighbourhoods - Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for job opportunities through the Investing in Neighbourhoods Program, interested candidates must be OW participants living in Toronto. Investing in Neighbourhoods job opportunities are in not for profit community organizations and enable OW participants to: increase their skill level, develop contacts with employers, and obtain references with the goal of securing permanent employment.

Job Description


  • Drive, set-up and operate mobile and Good Food Markets in the community.
  • Drive organization's cube van, trucks, or mini-vans to deliver produce to schools, agencies, Good Food Box customers or community markets in a timely manner, as necessary and available.
  • Ensure that all deliveries are run in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Organize vehicle so all products required are accounted for and received in good condition by the customers. 
  • Represent FoodShare Toronto and provide courteous, respectful and excellent customer service.
  • Fill out issues and delivery time tracking sheets and other documents as needed.
  • Follow and ensure compliance with all organizational procedures and policies, including Health and Safety policies.
  • Assist with packing and other duties in the warehouse as needed and assigned.
  • Assist with regular maintenance, cleanup and sanitation of trucks and warehouse as needed. 

(Due to COVID-19 - please note an additional $4/hour as danger pay is being offered)
